POSITION:
Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Special Education

QUALIFICATIONS:
The Department seeks individuals with a specialization in
special education, with a particular emphasis in mild
disabilities. An earned doctorate in special education, as
well as evidence of teaching ability and the potential to
conduct significant research and acquire outside funding, are
required

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a 10-month tenure track position in the Department of
Educational Studies. The position responsibilities include:
¨       Teaching graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in
preservice and inservice teacher education, including courses
in mild disabilities that deal with assessment and
characteristics as well as regular teaching of a course for
all teaching majors in the School entitled "the inclusive
classroom
¨       Developing a research program and disseminating results
and ongoing findings in publications, presentations, and
other local, state, and national outlets.
¨       Preparing proposals for extramural funding in support of
a research program.
¨       Recruiting and advising graduate students.
¨       Participating in partnership and leadership activities
with local, state, and national entities.
