Program Director/Instructor Position

University of South Florida's Counseling Center is seeking a
Director/Instructor for the Reading and Learning Program.
This is a twelve-month, forty-hour a week, non-tenured
faculty/administrative position. In addition to administering
and supervising the Reading and Learning Program, the
Director/Instructor will be expected to teach one or two
classes a semester in reading and/or learning strategies,
conduct scholarly research, serve as a liaison between the
Counseling Center and other areas of the university, present
workshops, and tutor individual students.

Qualifications
Candidates should have an earned doctorate in reading or a
related area. ABDs will be considered if degree requirements
are fulfilled by the starting date. Starting date is
negotiable until August 1, 2002. Minimum qualifications
include three or more years' experience working with college
level literacy and learning assistance, including classroom
instruction, workshop presentations, and individual
instruction; familiarity with computer assisted learning labs
and educational software; a collaborative teaching and
management style; highly developed communication skills;
ability to work in a multi-disciplinary setting; and at least
one year's experience in an administrative or supervisory
position.

Salary and Deadlines
Salary range is $42,000 to $50,000. Applications will be
