RESEARCH FACULTY POSITION
The Evaluation Center & Department of Sociology Western
Michigan University

For immediate appointment, Western Michigan University is
seeking applications for a senior level position (Associate
or Full Research Professor) in evaluation, with a
specialization in qualitative and quantitative assessment.

The incumbent will report to the director of The Evaluation
Center and have a tenure-track position in the Department of
Sociology. Duties will include conducting research and
evaluation, assisting with the development and implementation
of an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in evaluation, and
fostering collaborative projects between The Evaluation
Center and the Department of Sociology. The position requires
a doctorate in a relevant discipline (e.g., Sociology, Social
Psychology, Education, Political Science, Public
Administration).

We are seeking candidates with education and experience in
designing and applying both qualitative and quantitative
assessment devices; expertise in evaluation theory and
methodology; a strong publication record; demonstrated grant-
writing, research, and project administration abilities; a
strong record of teaching at the graduate level; active
professional involvement; and a keen interest in advancing
the theory and practice of evaluation. We encourage
