Dear Colleague:

Next Valentine's Day (Th February 14, 2002 - Sat February 16,
2002) the Southwest Educational Research Association (SERA)
will hold its annual meeting in Austin, Texas. The SERA
program covers all areas of educational research. The Call
for Papers can be accessed at: http://www.sera-edresearch.org

Because the 2002 meeting is SERA's ***25th anniversary***,
some special festivities are being planned. Furthermore, the
conference hotel is within walking distance of 6th Street, a
location not quite as famous and (only) slightly less
boisterous than Bourbon Street, but a very fun place indeed.
Following the extravagant SERA anniversary reception, the
local arrangements committee is arranging various fun options
at 6th Street.

Austin is served by Southwest Airlines, as well as various
other carriers. Consider submitting a proposal to present a
paper and discover what is usually a very intellectually
stimulating program, but also a fun group of people as well.

SERA particularly welcomes presentations, including first-
time presentations, by doctoral students!
