Welcome to our world, Sandra! This is what the list is for.

The Foucault SIG is a space from which to support a critical
(poststructural) orientation towards educational problems. I strongly
encourage supervisors of doctoral students exploring Foucault to begin a
conversation about their work and that of others by posting comments on
the list.

We are also interested in hearing from established researchers like
Sverker who are trying new approaches and those members experimenting
with other theorists (I, for example, have been playing around with
Judith Butler to think about why students might "throw away" educational
opportunity).

Cheers
Linda

I am a doctoral candidate writing my prospectus. In reviewing the
literature, I have encountered several articles of original sources
addressing Foucalt's work. I am looking forward to receiving continued
scholarly interaction on this and other topics! This is GREAT!

s it OK to ask a question like this?
We are studying classroom video recordings and would like to develop
what could
e called a foucauldian framework here for analyses (or for instance to
Ian
ackings notions on looping when relating the works of Foucault and
Goffman). Is
here anybody out there working on such issues?

ll the best from Sweden,
