Dear Foucault and Education SIG Listserv Members,
We are in the process of updating the SIG website. The new URL for
the new website is:
https://www.aera.net/Default.aspx?menu_id=474&id=7880
I apologize for the ridiculously cumbersome URL and the very boring
website. The SIG decided to move its technology operations to the
AERA site and the ability to be creative, flexible, even
technologically contemporary is, in my opinion, VERY limited. I did
the best I could give what they allow--which is not very much... Of
course I shared concerns about the limitations, to no avail.
The new site is at least up to date and should suffice for a while,
until we decide what direction the SIG is moving in. In the future if
AERA's options do not improve, I would suggest we move the site to
HOST MY SITE.COM and pay the $250 a year to keep it there (and also
move the listserv to a university server (likely for free)). This
will give us much greater flexibility to be creative and even just
efficient.
Please send me (NOT THE LIST) at [log in to unmask] any feedback on
and/or additions to the website.
Best,
Chris

"What are the standards that we have? If we're concerned about
unarmed truth--understanding this condition of truth is allowing
suffering to speak--and unconditional love--understanding justice is
what love looks like in public--then the question is, what suffering
voices do we hear...and what kinds of concerns about justice are made
manifest...?
