Roberta,

I teach primary/elementary literacy methods (among other subjects like
multiculturalism, etc.) to preservice teachers. I am interested in
employing Foucault's methods to research literacy (not sure what specific
topic yet). I have been reading literature on literacy via sociocultural
theory and it seems to be a good fit with Foucault. I was wondering if you
know of any research/researchers that work in litercy via Foucault? I've
read work by Dawnene Hassett who does use Foucault's methods to
investigate litercy, but I would like more. I appreciate any information.

Thank you,
Robert

P.S. I'm reading your article Freedom and Empowerment: A Transforative
Pedagogy of Educational Reform. It's very interesting. Thank you for
writing it.
