Dear SIG members,

 

We are very please and happy to announce the results of our SIG elections, congratulations to those elected.  We have a very esteemed new group of officers who will move our SIG forward and guide us to the next level.

I had a very long conversation with chairs: Michael and Tara and they graciously showed their excitement and readiness for the task ahead.  

 

The votes cast by voting members of the SIG were tabulated and certified by Instelliscan, Inc., AERA's independent election agent.

 

Below is a list of SIG positions up for election and the name of the person elected to each of the positions:

Program Chair: Tara Yosso

Secretary/Treasurer: Eleonor Blair Hilty

Program Chairperson-Elect: Suzanne SooHoo and Tom Wilson

Communication Chair: Sheila R. Vaidya

 

We hope to meet all of you in Denver on Sunday night at our business meeting to introduce the elected officers and at the same time have a wonderful session together with special invited guest speakers already confirmed: Angela Valenzuela and Peter McLaren among others soon TBA. We will send an announcement with details.
