The School of Education at the University of Louisiana Monroe is seeking an innovative and involved tenure track faculty member to coordinate the doctoral program in Curriculum and Instruction and to teach graduate courses with a focus upon improving student academic achievement through enhanced scholarship and research. The successful candidate will join a dedicated faculty and leadership team working to enhance the quality of education in Louisiana and nation-wide.

Teach graduate and doctoral level courses in research (face-to-face and online)

Advise doctoral students

Chair and serve on doctoral committees

Engage with ongoing scholarly activities, including grants and research to improve the education of P-12 students

Promote collaboration across programs and with P-12 schools/districts

Coordinate the Ed.D. program in Curriculum and Instruction

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications for Assistant Professor:

Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or related field; ABD considered

Record of successful teaching and administrative experience

Evidence of or potential for scholarly research

Experience in or potential for pursuing external research funding

Expertise in research methods and statistics

Commitment to collaboration with public schools and education agencies

Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications for Assistant Professor:

 

Evidence of effective student advisement

Potential for mentoring doctoral student research, ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Familiarity with evidence-based strategies in Curriculum and Instruction

Expertise in the use of instructional technology and online learning
