Dear Graduate Students,

 

The Division D Graduate Student Committee is seeking graduate students who are interested in sharing their in-progress research with an audience of interested researchers, including a panel of reviewers who will provide feedback on the research. Our sixth annual In-progress Research Gala will take place during the 2015 AERA meeting in Chicago, IL, Thursday April 16-Monday, April 20, 2015.

 

In-Progress Research proposals will be reviewed and scored by a panel of professionals and scholars in the field of educational measurement and research. The three proposals receiving the highest ratings will be honored at the 2016 Division D Business Meeting. The overall best rated proposal will receive a complimentary conference registration for the 2016 AERA conference. All participants in the Division D In-Progress Research Gala will have the opportunity to network with researchers in the field of measurement and research methodology, including senior scholars who have pioneered research in the field, higher education practitioners, and established industry professionals.

 

Please note that the 2015 AERA In-Progress Research Gala will use a new interactive poster session format. During the interactive poster session, presenters will have 3-5 minutes to talk about the main points of their poster. At the end of the session, a discussant will connect the main points of the posters and provide concluding comments.

Important dates to remember:

·         Monday December 22, 2014: Proposals are due to [log in to unmask]

·         Friday March 6^th, 2015: Notification decisions will be sent.

 

Notification of proposals selected to participate in the In-Progress Research Gala will be sent out Friday March 6^th, 2015. The three proposals receiving the highest ratings will be announced at the Division D Business Meeting.

 

In-Progress Research Gala participants will be responsible for preparing and displaying a poster of their research project, which will be displayed at the In-Progress Research Gala event. It is expected that participants will register for the Annual Meeting, attend the In-Progress Research Gala session, and be available during the session and reception to answer questions related to their in-progress research project.
